You didn’t think this immigration “crisis” was real. You knew it had a manufactured feel to it. You couldn’t quite put your finger on it, but there was something unsaid, some real reason for all the sudden commotion, that had nothing to do with stealing jobs or draining resources.
True, it served well as a distraction – something to push Iraq off the front pages – but still….
And here it is. The big payoff. The multi-billion dollar federal contract for the giant military contractors. Just business as usual for the Bush administration, turning the country over to the megacorps.
